The Kenyan Embassy in France has suspended operations for ten days to minimize on the spread of corona virus.

In a statement, Ambassador Judy Wakhungu has indicated that the temporary shutting of operations will take effect from tomorrow.

Services to be affected by the closure include issuance of visas and processing of e passports as Wakhungu says all consular services will remain suspended except for emergencies.

Ambassador Wakhungu has urged all Kenyans in France, Portugal and Serbia to cooperate with advisories issued by their host government.

The move follows the increase of Covid 19 cases in France and the decision by the Emmanuel Macron government to impose a partial lockdown.
