“This is big for us, and our neighboring counties as well, who have all joined us in this journey. The counties of Migori, Kisii , Nyamira who will find this journey to Homabay very useful”, Governor Wanga said.
Speaking at the airstrip, Governor Wanga lauded the coming of the flights as a great boost to the economic activity of the county, adding that with the opening of the airstrip, more jobs will be created.
“We have received overwhelming feedback from the public who are saying that going to Homabay has never been easier. As you know, if you fly to Kisumu you (still ) have to drive to Homabay for two hours. So that has saved time. But also in terms of employment to our people, and just ( a boost to) the economic activity around Homabay”, the governor added.
