The Evangelical Alliance of Kenya, EAK in partnership with Spread Truth Africa has dispatched a 20 Tonne consignment of foodstuffs to vulnerable families in the Nairobi Metropolitan Area.
Speaking during the flag off ceremony, EAK General Secretary, Rev. Connie Kivuti said the Church will continue to support the government in its fight against CoronaVirus in the country.
Needy congregants, pastors as well as those in dire need are set to benefit from the donation from EAK and Spread Truth Africa.
The comes 4 weeks after Church gatherings were suspended, on March 20th due to COVID-19 emergence in the country, crippling church operations in the country due to the need for social distancing, and further devastating church leaders who entirely depended on their calling to put food on the table.
EAK Secretary Rev. Connie Maina said all needy church leaders have been identified and will be supported through this season. The Donation will first be distributed across the Nairobi Metropolitan Area before being rolled out to other counties.
