At least 250 people in Turkana County have so far given their lives to Christ in the ongoing Multi-Destination Mission (MDM)  that kicked off on 18th of May, 2023.
The 10-day mission which has brought together several organizations and churches including CITAM MIssion team, is aimed at transforming the Vulnerable and Unreached People Groups in various parts of Turkana County through Evangelism, Discipleship, Compassion & Social Action.
Speaking to Hope FM in Lodwar, Turkana South, Rev. Bethuel Kosgei who is leading the MDM team, says the mission initiative was born last year.
“This is a mission of initiative birthed last year. I am glad that right now we are in the field. MDM is a plan for a mission bringing together several organizations, churches and individuals which felt the need to bring the Gospel to Turkana. At least one destination in every subcounty will be reached”, Rev Kosgey said.
MDM teams also ventured into areas such as Kapedo and Lokoyo in Turkana south, Kalapata inTurkana East , Kakuma in Turkana West, Loima Sub county and Lokitang’ among; others.
The team has mapped out  four strategies namely to evangelize, discipleship, compassion and social action with the goal of transform the vulnerable and unreached people.
The missionaries in Turkana County are evangelizing to the communities through door to door ministries, sports ministries, open air ministries and church ministries with  the CITAM Heaven’s Gate and Hell’s Flames (HGHF) drama team, performing the iconic drama on the after-life with or without believing in Christ, in various churches and schools.
Residents of Turkana County are also benefitted a medical camp and from food stuff donations from the Office of the Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua during the commissioning of the mission in Nairobi.
