Controversial blogger Robert Alai has been released on bail and barred from commenting or publishing on his twitter or Facebook accounts on issues touching on COVID 19 pending hearing and determination of his case.
Alai who is charged with publishing a false information was arrested on Friday last week and spent the entire weekend in police custody.
He was charged that on 19th March 2020 at unknown place within Republic of kenya, heposted on his Twitter handle @robertalai account that “conoravirus”is the government hiding covid 19 deaths at the port of mombasa” ,knowing the information to be false and meant to cause panic amongst citizens of kenya.
