The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has finally released the KCSE results for Samoei Boys’ Secondary School in Nandi County.

The results had been withheld, as the Ministry of Education released the national results of the 2023 KCSE results for different schools countrywide. This followed suspicion of cheating during the exams.

However, the students can now sigh with relief following the release of the results today.

All the 292 candidates from the school located in Nandi Hills have qualified for university. The school had 35 top candidates scoring A-‘s whereas 142 students had B+’s.

The school’s impressive results come second after Kapsabet Boys’ Secondary School in the just released KCSE results.

Two days ago, the council also released KCSE results for Tachasis Girls High School which had a mean score of 7.9.

The decision to withhold the results had attracted mixed reactions, with some residents led by Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Bernard Kitur threatening to sue KNEC.
