Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and Beiersdorf Kenya have today partnered to donate alcohol-based hand sanitizers to public transport users, through Matatu Owners Association (MOA).

Beiersdorf, manufacturers of personal skincare products, established a line of hand sanitizers as part of their corporate social responsibility to help curb the spread of coronavirus in the country by maintaining hand hygiene.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Matatu Owners Association Vice Chairman, Stephen Murungu remarked that it is everybody’s responsibility to work towards stopping the spread of the virus, saying “As a country, we all need to work together and look beyond profit-making to overcome this crisis as soon as possible. Our partnership with KAM shall go beyond transport and manufacturing as we work together towards the common good for our country.”

KAM Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing Sally Kahiu noted that manufacturers are committed to ensuring that we reduce the spread of coronavirus, adding,” Everyone must play their part in ensuring that we beat this pandemic. This partnership with MOA and Beiersdorf is a part of our larger national initiative to engage the public in finding ways to flatten the curve.”

KAM and  Beiersdorf handed over 50, five (5) litre jerry cans of hand sanitizer as part of the Association’s #TuwajibikeTuishi campaign, which is focused on creating public health awareness on preventing the spread of COVID19.
