Kenya has recorded 59 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, the number is out of 1,518 samples that were tested. The positive cases are distributed in Nairobi with 29, Mombasa 14, Turkana 6, Busia 4, Taita Taveta 2, Kajiado 2, with Kiambu and Kilifi recording 1 case each.

Nairobi Cases are from Ruaraka (8), Westlands (6) Dagoretti North (4), Lang’ata (4), Kibra (3), Embakasi East (1) Kasarani(1), Kamukunji (1) and Makadara (1).

In Mombasa the 14 cases are from Mvita(6), Kisauni (2), Nyali (2), Jomvu (2) and Changamwe (2). In Turkana County, all the cases are from Nadapal Point of Entry.

In Busia, the cases are from Malaba Point of Entry (3), Alupe Quarantine (1). Taita Taveta has 2 cases from Mwatate. Kajiado has 2 cases from Kajiado East and Kiambu has 1 case from Thika.

As the total number of positive cases reach 2,021, 5 more people have died from the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 69 while 8 more patients have been discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 482.
