The first education session was held on 1st March, 2022 in Nairobi while the second was held today, 3rd March, 2022 in Eldoret.

AK  has informed athletes that did not make to attend the seminars in Nairobi and Eldoret to attend the one in Kapsabet next week.

The anti-doping seminars are being conducted by AK, The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) and the Anti-Doping Agency of Kenya (ADAK) and are mandatory for athletes hoping to take part at the global showpiece slated for July 15-24 in Eugene, Oregon.

“Athletes are responsible for knowing what substances and methods are considered banned on the Prohibited List,” AK said in a statement.

Addressing the athletes during one of the sessions, Dr. Festus Kiplamai had pointed out that, “Some nutritional supplements, including various plant “natural” extracts, may pose risks for athletes and can easily contravene anti-doping rules. Athletes must take a cautious approach n be careful not these substances”.
