Uasin Gishu Governor County Jackson Mandago cuts the cake to mark the opening of the new Co-op Bank branch in Eldoret

Co-operative Bank has opened a third branch in Eldoret Town, in a ceremony attended by Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandagor.

The new branch is located on Kenyatta Street Branch in Eldoret.


Signalling the opening of the new bank branch, Dr Gideon Muriuki, Group Managing Director & CEO, said Co-op Bank will continue to leverage on digital tools to deliver full service banking to customers, while at the same time optimize its branch network by opening new branches at carefully selected outlets identified through rigorous market research.

“We believe there is no one single channel that will displace all others, rather, it’s the investment in an optimal and balanced multichannel strategy that will offer a fulfilling experience to the customer, ” Dr. Muriuki added.

During the event, the first customer to open an account at the new Co-operative Bank branch on Kenyatta Street Branch in Eldoret, Jayesh Shah Lalji was given a token from the bank’s Director for Retail and Business William Ndumia and the manager of the new branch Phyllis Limo.
